Bands like Iron Maiden, Rhapsody, Children of Bodon, Blind Guardian, Nightwish, Helloween, Ozzy, Gamma Ray, Running Wild, etc. are very popular in these countries? One of the Iron Maiden show is watched by more than 50,000 people in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
I recognized the European Heavy Metal is very popular in South America, Japan and of course in Europe. But people say that there are also known in the United States and Canada.

It is very popular in the metallurgical enterprises in the United States.
Almost all metal fans I know you like Children of Bodom, Rammstein, Nightwish, HIM, Bullet For My Valentine, Caliban, etc.
The only reason why some people do not like metal much of Europe, because most of the death of Melo-Death, Black, Doom, etc, and some people do not like it.
You do not find metalcore in Europe!
