Grapefruit juice inhibits the enzyme CYP450 increasing plasma concentrations of drugs metabolized by this enzyme. Increased plasma concentrations of drugs can cause side effects, therefore, not advisable to take care of grapefruit juice with these drugs. The lemon juice does not inhibit cytochrome P450.
